This amazing ringer tee features a graphic of the wizard Gandalf the Grey from the 1978 animated film Lord of the Rings. Based on J.R.R. Tolkien's pivotal trilogy of the same name, The Lord of the Rings follows the adventure of Frodo Baggins, a hobbit from the Shire, as he travels across Middle Earth with a Fellowship of eight other adventures, on a quest to destroy the One Ring. Gandalf is a titular character who offers guidance and support to Frodo from the beginning of his quest.
Lord of the Rings was notable for its interesting animation style. The film utilized rotoscoping, a technique in which scenes are first shot in live-action and then traced to create animation. This gave the film a unique visual effect that added to the whimsical and fantastical themes. The film was a success financially, mixed critically, and a bust for die-hard Tolkien fans. Many complained that the film was "unfinished" since it only covered the events of the first book, the Fellowship of the Ring, and some of the second, the Two Towers. Regardless of negative feedback from fans, the future director of the extremely successful live action adaption of the Lord of the Rings, Peter Jackson, cited it as an influence in his work.
Fits like a modern unisex adult large. Some wear around the collar, see pics.
