This awesome raglan sweatshirt is for the New England  hardcore band Slapshot and it features the band's name on the front and a large hardcore X on the back, cleverly made out of a pair of crossed hockey sticks. Slapshot was formed in 1985 in Boston, Massachusetts, and the group drew instant attention thanks to its founding members. Slapshot began as an amalgamation of musicians from various other bands in the Boston hardcore scene known as "the Boston Crew", this included Steve Risteen and Mark McKay of Terminally Ill, and Johnathan Anastas of DYS. The group also featured Jack "Choke" Kelly of Negative FX, as its founding vocalist, and Kelly has remained the band's sole consistent member and leader ever since.

Slapshot has had a long and tumultuous career, that spans over thirty years. The group has gone through multiple line up changes, but they've never strayed away from the raw unfiltered spirit of hardcore punk music. Slapshot's music has remained consistently in your face and the band has remained unapologetically straight edge since their founding. In 1999, Flat Records, the label owned by Ken Casey of the Dropkick Murphys, released a compilation album called Boston Drops the Gloves: A Tribute to Slapshot, which featured covers by 22 Boston bands, demonstrating exactly how much Slapshot meant to the local scene.

Fits like a modern unisex adult large. There are paint stains and holes on the back, see pics.
