This cool vintage jersey is from all the way back in the 1950s, and the jersey has held up beautifully for more than half a century. The shirt promotes the Montecito Family YMCA in Santa Barbara, California. For decades the YMCA has been a worldwide youth organization with locations all across the globe. The letters stand for Young Men's Christian Association, as the organization was originally founded on the morals of muscular Christianity.
During the era that this jersey was made, World YMCA had just elected their first black president, Charles Dunbar Sherman from Liberia. By the end of the decade the YMCA had also developed their first nationally organized scuba diving course.
Fits like a modern unisex adult small. There is some wear around the seams, see pics.
