This vintage skate tee was specially made for Flexible Flyer skateboards circa 1970s. It's aged incredibly well after all this time, preserving that old school magic for years to come. Features a soft poly cotton blend, soothing blue color, and 70s era Sandbag tag.

Skateboarding culture dates as far back as the 1940s. The sport lost a great deal of followers in the 1960s due to bad boards and safety concerns, but thanks to improvements in traction and steering skating made a comeback in the 1970s. 

The seventies saw the introduction of "Cadillac Wheels", which gave skaters a nice smooth ride. These urethane wheels were the same ones used on used on roller-skates. Surfer Frank Nasworthy first tried it on his Hobie board in the early 70s, and by '73 had them marketed to the public. Other manufacturers also made improvements to skateboards during this time- like better ball bearings and trucks, which only helped the incline of popularity. Among these skate brands were Flexible Flyers, Variflex, Z-Flex, Santa Cruz, and Powell-Peralta.
