This amazing graphic tee celebrates the Statue of Liberty's Centennial, or 100th Anniversary, back in 1986. The Statue of Liberty, which depicts the Roman goddess Libertas, was gifted to the United States by France in 1886. She was renovated in preparation of the Centennial and she was obscured by the world's largest free-standing scaffold starting in 1984. New York City hosted plenty of festivities in honor of the statue's 100th birthday during the weekend of July 3-6 which was designated as "Liberty Weekend."
