This sweet vintage shirt was made by Champion in the 70s and it has a cool graphic that proudly reads, "Long Beach State". Long Beach State is the nickname given to the athletic teams of California State University, Long Beach, a notable member of the California State University system. At one point, the school was home to the Long Beach 49ers, in honor of the 1849 California gold rush, but the university's athletic teams later became simply known as the Beach.

This shirt features a unique graphic that's reminiscent of a logo used by the Magna cigarette brand, which in turn inspired another famous logo that was used by the band the Strokes. Oddly enough, the Magna logo wasn't popularized until the late 80s, which was years after this shirt appears to have been printed.
