This sweet all over print tee is for the America's Cup competition in 1992. Informally called Auld Mug, the sailing competition is the oldest international, still active sporting competition. America's Cup predates the Olympics by almost 50 years, although it isn't held on a regular schedule like the Olympics. Rather, the event is held whenever the competing yacht clubs organize a time to meet and the event is usually hosted by the defending club. The 1992 America's Cup was held in San Diego and the San Diego Yacht Club was defending their championship title from the Compagnia della Vela from Italy. American billionaire Bill Koch's boat won for the San Diego Yacht Club, clinching the club's second victory in a row.
Tag says XXL but fits like a modern unisex adult Extra Large. Fading throughout particularly in the shoulders, see pics.
