This awesome satin jacket comes in a nice maroon color with off-white sleeves that have maroon stripes going down the sides. The jacket has snap closures and a knit collar, cuffs, and waistband. It also has two front hand pockets. The back of the jacket bears the Foghat logo. Meanwhile the front of the jacket has been personalized, embroidered on the chest is the name Craig.

This jacket belonged to Foghat bassist Craig MacGregor who originally served as a touring musician for the band. He joined the group in 1976 replacing their interim bassist Nick Jameson who was filling in after Tony Stevens' departure. MacGregor made his recording debut with the band on their sixth studio album Night Shift.

Foghat was formed in London in 1971 with founding members Dave Peverett, Rod Price, Tony Stevens, and Roger Earl. They released a debut self-titled album in 1972 produced by Dave Edmunds. Their next album which is often referred to as Rock and Roll went gold, and their popularity continued to grow. In 1975 they recorded Fool For the City. This album featured their most famous hit song "Slow Ride" which reached No. 20 on the Billboard charts in the United States.

This jacket fits like a modern unisex adult Small. There is a repair on the front, some spots on the side, some discoloration, and a small bit of damage, see pics.

This item is from the estate of Craig MacGregor, the bassist for the band Foghat in the 1970s, 80s, and again in the 2000’s.  The item was owned by Craig, a collector of t-shirts, and stored for some time in a basement before it came into our possession.  As a result there may be some lingering basement odor. All items are authentic pieces of rock and roll history and in many cases are one-of-a-kind.  Further authentication and chain-of-custody can be provided upon request.
