This 70s Blues mesh jersey was worn by MacGregor in an encore at Foghat's concert at the Checkerdome in St. Louis. The bassist collected jerseys, primarily hockey, from the various cities Foghat visited.

The professional hockey team is named after the W.C. Handy song, "Saint Louis Blues." Their blue music note logo is featured on the front of this jersey, used from 1967 to 1984.

While the Blues' were a competitive team in the 60s, they struggled in the following decade. Losing their top players to other teams or retirement, they would miss the playoffs for the first time in 1973-1974. The franchise also faced financial difficulty in the 70s, which lead pet food giant Ralston Purina to purchase the Blues in 1977.

This shirt fits like a modern unisex adult Medium. It has small holes in the front, see pics.

This item is from the estate of Craig MacGregor, the bassist for the band Foghat in the 1970s, 80s, and again in the 2000’s.  The item was owned by Craig, a collector of t-shirts, and stored for some time in a basement before it came into our possession.  As a result there may be some lingering basement odor. All items are authentic pieces of rock and roll history and in many cases are one-of-a-kind.  Further authentication and chain-of-custody can be provided upon request.
