This cool vintage tee is for the Australian rock band Midnight Oil and it features the same graphic used for the cover of their album Diesel and Dust. This sixth studio album was a concept album addressing issues that were meaningful to the band, including environmental causes and the struggles of Indigenous Australians. The album was released in 1987, and it took inspiration from the Blackfella/Whitefella Tour that took place a year before. This tour featured the groups the Warumpi Band and Gondwanaland, traveling to remote indigenous communities.
The cover image featured on this tee is of the Burra Homestead, a remote farmhouse in the town of Burra, Australia. The photograph used for the cover was taken by Ken Duncan, and it won the award for Best Cover Art at the 1988 Australian Recording Industry Association Awards. The band chose the image because they felt that the stark photograph perfectly captured the feel of the Australian bush, which they were trying to capture with the album.
Fits like a modern unisex adult medium. There is a repair on the left shoulder when wearing, see pics.
