This vintage baseball tee roots for the 1999 Boston Red Sox team, and the shirt is quite unique as it was made to celebrate a championship that the team never actually won. This shirt congratulates the Sox on winning that season's American League pennant, and earning a spot in the 1999 World Series, however this bit of premature promotional merch wound up being incorrect. While the Sox successfully won their Division Series, they lost the League Championship to the eventual World Series champs, the New York Yankees.
