This sweet vintage band tee is for the Detroit-based group, The Rockets. The band was formed in the early 70s by two former members of Mitch Ryder & The Detroit Wheels, Jimmy McCarty and Johnny Badanjek. The Rockets spent their early days playing local joints like The Rainbow Room, The People's Ballroom, and The Rock 'N Roll Farm, before releasing their first full length studio album in 1977. This album, titled Love Transfusion, was released after the band took on a new lead vocalist, David Gilbert. The Rockets are arguably best remembered for their Top 40 cover of Fleetwood Mac's "Oh Well".
