This incredible vintage band tee is for the iconic new wave group the B-52s, and it celebrates their eponymous debut album. This tee features the same portrait of the band that was used for the album's cover, and the image was designed by Tony Wright, an artist who also worked with Steve Winwood, Bob Dylan, and the Ramones.

For several years, the B-52s had been making a name for themselves among the New York punk scene. They entertained audiences at CBGB and Max's Kansas City with their kitschy combination of surf rock and upbeat dance tunes, but their debut album helped spread their music to a wider audience. They became known for hits like "Rock Lobster" and "Planet Claire", and John Lennon even referred to them as his favorite band in 1980.

The band's success continued to grow, even after the tragic death of guitarist Ricky Wilson. In fact one of the band's most notorious songs, "Love Shack" was released on their 1989 album, Cosmic Thing, which was their first release without Wilson.

Fits like a modern unisex adult small. This shirt has some small holes and discoloration, see pics.
