This incredible tee celebrates the late, great musician David Bowie. This shirt features a wonderful silk screened portrait of the musician, that's copyright Stenton S.A. This company worked with the artist throughout the 80s and 90s, and they helped managed copyrights during his Serious Moonlight Tour, which was launched the same year that this shirt was made, 1983. The Serious Moonlight Tour was designed to promote Bowie's album Let's Dance, and it involved 96 shows spread across 15 different countries. At the time, Serious Moonlight was Bowie's longest and most successful tour to date.

Much of the tour's success was a result of the popularity of the album it was launched to promote. Let's Dance remains Bowie's best-selling album and it boosted the singer to international super stardom. All four of the album's singles became major hits, and they included "China Girl", "Without You", "Modern Love", and the title track. This album was also Bowie's first studio release following the death of John Lennon, a tragedy that deeply affected the singer, who had been close friends with the former Beatles member.

Bowie became quite reclusive following Lennon's death, but one of the first songs he managed to record after that time was "Cat People (Putting Out Fire)", which was featured on Let's Dance. The track was also the title song to Paul Schrader's 1982 remake of the classic horror film Cat People.

Fits like a modern unisex adult small.
