This rad double sided tee is for R&B legend Maxwell and his hit single "Fortunate" from the Life soundtrack. Written by R. Kelly for the 1999 buddy dramady movie starring Martin Lawrence and Eddie Murphy, "Fortunate" was a huge success as a stand alone single. The song won Best R&B Single of the Year at the Billboard Music Awards and was nominated for a Grammy for Best R&B Male Vocalist. "Fortunate" spent nearly two months at the top of the US R&B charts but, despite it's success, R. Kelly reported that Maxwell originally didn't want to sing it. Maxwell wanted to sing the movie's eponymous song but Kelly rejected the idea because he felt the singer's voice would be a better fit for "Fortunate."

Gerald Maxwell Rivera, known mononymously by his middle name, was on the fore front of the neo soul movement of the late 90s alongside artists like Erykah Badu and D'Angelo. His first album, Maxwell's Urban Hang Suite, is regularly referenced as a starting point for the genre and an example of what neo soul sounds like. Maxwell released three albums during the late 90s and early 2000s, all of which went platinum, before taking a lengthy hiatus from performing. His next album, BLACKsummers'night was released several years later to critical acclaim.

Fits like a modern unisex adult XXL or 2XL. Several small holes and a light spot along bottom, see pics.
