These letters likely refer to the professional stock car racer Kyle Petty, who is the son of NASCAR legend, Richard Petty. During the late 90s, KP used to drive the number 44 Pontiac which was sponsored by the model car brand, Hot Wheels. These collectible cars were owned by Mattel and during the 90s, racing fans were able to purchase a scale model of the real life Hot Wheels Pontiac.
