The first Star Wars movie, A New Hope, was released in 1977, and starred Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, and Harrison Ford. This shirt features the Jedi master Yoda, who didn't appear until the 1980 sequel The Empire Strikes Back. In the movie, Hamill's character, Luke Skywalker travels to the swamp planet of Dagobah to train with Yoda, who was portrayed by a puppet, voiced and operated by The Muppets alumni, Frank Oz.
