This cool vintage jersey dates back to the 1960s, and it was made by Rawlings, a sporting goods company that was started in the 19th Century by brothers George and Alfred Rawlings. Headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, the company began manufacturing uniforms for the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team in 1906, and they later became the preferred brand for professional baseball gloves, after Cardinals pitcher Bill Doak sold them his concept for a glove that featured a web between the thumb and forefinger.

This white jersey sports red and blue accents, and it has the name Midland proudly stitched across the chest. The stitched on letters demonstrate the preferred way of customizing athletic uniforms, before iron on lettering became common practice. Although this jersey doesn't have any other details, it's probably safe to assume that it was made for the city of Midland, Texas, which was at one time home to former US President George H. W. Bush and his family.
