This incredible shirt commemorates one of the first ever Regional Explorer Conferences that was held by the Boys Scouts of America. This shirt was for the Region II Conference held at Syracuse University in 1961. This catered to scouts in the Exploring program that lived in New York, New Jersey, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands.
The Exploring program is a beloved tradition that can be traced back to the Senior Scout program of the 1930s. In the 60s, the National Explorer Delegate Conference was created, and the scouts used to use the Regional Conferences to elect which Explorers would serve on the steering committee for the next National Conference.
Fits like a modern unisex youth extra large. There are spots on the front and a small hole on the back, see pics.
