This vintage jersey honors Club 100, the nickname given to the 100th Infantry Battalion Veterans organization that was established in 1945. The 100th Infantry Battalion was formed in the wake of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, and the battalion adopted the motto "Remember Pearl Harbor" to acknowledge the event that brought devastation to their home of Hawaii. The battalion was composed nearly entirely of the Hawaii-born children of Japanese Americans. They were the first segregated Japanese American unit to engage in combat during World War II, and due to their high rate of casualties, they were given the unofficial moniker of "The Purple Heart Battalion".

Club 100 was created to provide support to the surviving battalion members and their loved ones. It also was made to honor and preserve the legacy of those who served.
