This amazing tee is a piece of 70s rock memorabilia that celebrates former Beatles member, John Lennon. This shirt was made after the group broke up, while Lennon was establishing his own legacy as a solo artist, and the tee promotes his 1973 album, Mind Games. This album was recorded and released during what Lennon referred to as his, "lost weekend", which was how he described his 18 month-long separation from his wife and frequent collaborator, Yoko Ono. This was also Lennon's first self-produced album, which was created without any assistance from Phil Spector.
While Mind Games received mixed reviews upon its release, it painted a portrait of a very specific time in Lennon's life. All of the songs were written in the span of just a week, and they weren't just inspired but Lennon's complex feelings over his martial issues. They were also influenced by the massive amount of stress he felt dealing with US immigration, and the constant surveillance from the FBI over his political views and activism.
Mind Games was released through Apple Records, who also issued the title track as a single. The song breached the top 40 in both the UK and US. Meanwhile other notable songs off the album included, "Out of the Blue", "Tight A$", "Meat City", and "I Know (I Know".
Fits like a modern unisex adult small. This shirt is soft and distressed with several holes, see pics.
