This incredible vintage concert tee is a piece of promotional merch for one of the most highly revered rock bands of all time, Led Zeppelin. This shirt dates all the way back to the 70s, when the group was still active, and it features the famous Icarus logo that was designed for the band's record label, Swan Song Records. Incidentally, this shirt is from the group's 1975 Tour of the US, which nearly was their swan song, as the band wound up playing only one other North American tour before disbanding in 1980.
The 1975 Tour featured a setlist of Zeppelin classics, like "Whole Lotta Love", "Black Dog", "Rock and Roll", and of course "Stairway to Heaven", but it also featured songs off the group's latest album, Physical Graffiti. This was the first time that tracks like "Sick Again", "Kashmir", and "The Wanton Song" were performed live on tour. The band also upped the set design for this show, employing a much grander light show than they'd used in the past. This included a backdrop consisting of a massive neon sign spelling out the name of the band.
Led Zeppelin didn't tour again until 1977, when their final North American tour broke new records in terms of attendance. The group planned to return to the states again for the fall of 1980, but these plans were sadly canceled after the tragic death of John Bonham. After the loss of their friend and former drummer, the group decided to disband, and the remaining members turned their attention towards other musical projects.
The tag says large but this shirt fits like a modern unisex adult medium. There is a hole near the sleeve and some cracking in the graphic, see pics.
