This sweet vintage ringer promotes Schlitz brand beer, and it encourages you to "try it... you'll like it!" This tee was made in the 70s, when that particular phrase was actually known for being the slogan for Alka Seltzer, but the 70s were quite the decade for Schlitz. This tee also names it as "the beer that made Milwaukee famous", and that's largely true as The Joseph Schlitz Brewing Company once reigned as the largest beer producer in the US.

The company actually made several missteps in the 70s that severely diminished their popularity. One of these was changing their recipe and production process in order to cut down on costs, but another was creating an advertising campaign that got jokingly dubbed the "Drink Schlitz or I'll kill you" campaign. Like this shirt, the ads encouraged you to give Schlitz a try, but unlike the charming graphic featured here, the commercials had a vaguely threatening tone that further alienated their customers.

The tag says medium but this shirt fits like a modern unisex adult small. There's some light bleed on the sleeve, see pics.
