This awesome vintage t-shirt was made by Adidas sometime in the 1980s. The shirt is a v-neck ringer with white stripes along the tops of the shoulders. It also features the signature, Adidas trefoil logo with the three stripes. Adidas founder, Adi Dassler, bought the rights to the three-stripe design from a failing Finnish shoe brand for 2 bottles of whiskey and the equivalent of 1,600 euros. The brand later incorporated the stripes into the trefoil design which is meant to represent the three continents where Adidas products were sold at the time: North America, Asia, and Europe.

Adidas is known for sponsoring a wide array of public figures, from athletes to musicians. The brand's history of sponsorships really kicked off when Olympic gold medalist Jesse Owens wore Adidas sneakers in the 1936 games. Adidas would go on to sponsor teams in the NFL, NBA, and NHL, as well as plenty of international soccer teams. They would also become more popular due to musical sponsorships, especially with 80s hip-hop group Run-DMC.

Tag says large but fits like a modern unisex adult medium.
