This awesome double-sided concert tee is for the iconic new wave band Blondie and the shirt commemorates the group's 1982 Tracks Across America Tour, which was launched to support their album The Hunter. The tour ended up being their last before the band split up later that year, and they didn't reunite again until the late 90s. Duran Duran served as the opening act throughout the tour, except for their performance at JFK Stadium in Philadelphia. There Blondie was a part of a larger show which also featured Heroes, A Flock of Seagulls, Elvis Costello, and Genesis.
Their sixth studio album, The Hunter was written as a concept album, loosely based around the theme of searching or hunting. It included the songs "Island of Lost Souls", "War Child", and "English Boys", as well as a cover of the Smoky Robinson song "The Hunter Gets Captured by the Game". Compared to past albums like Parallel Lines, Eat to the Beat, and Autoamerican, The Hunter was a commercial flop. Rising tensions within the band, prompted by their commercial decline, as well as financial mismanagement lead to the band's break-up. Afterward, lead singer Debbie Harry attempted to resume her solo career and she managed to release Rockbird in 1986, which included the UK top 10 hit "French Kissin' in the USA".
Fits like a modern unisex adult small. There is some discoloration on the sleeves and a repair near the bottom, see pics.
