Throughout the tour, Born in the USA never left the top ten of the Billboard 200, and by the time they reached the second North American leg, Springsteen and his band were playing to sold out arenas.

Born in the USA was Springsteen's seventh studio album, released in 1984. Every single one of the album's seven singles reached the top ten in the US. These included hits like "Dancing in the Dark", "Glory Days", "Cover Me", "My Hometown", and "I'm on Fire".
