The refreshing pale lager was first brewed in 1925, and by the end of the 90s it had become the top-selling imported beer in the United States, and one of the best-selling beers worldwide. Corona's recipe utilizes corn, one of Mexico's most abundant crops, and this is what gives the beer its signature light flavor and appearance. The brand is also known for its clear bottles. While most brands use colored glass to protect the beer from oxidization, Corona chose to use clear glass to show off the drink's sunny, golden color.
