This vintage tee is for the new wave band Duran Duran, and the shirt commemorates a 1988 concert tour that was launched to promote their latest album, Big Thing. The shirt features the same colorful block lettering that was used on the album's cover, and the back says "Abstract Idealist Romantic".
By this point in time, the band's lineup had dwindled down to a trio consisting of Simon Le Bon, Nick Rhodes, and John Taylor. During this period, Duran Duran was attempting to shed the teen idol image that they had gained in their early days.
In order to keep up with the evolving music scene, Big Thing incorporated a more bass-heavy, house-influenced sound. This was met with fair commercial success as the album made it to the number 15 spot on the UK charts and peaked at number 24 in the US. The album also contained two popular singles, "I Don't Want Your Love" and "All She Wants Is".
Fits like a modern unisex adult large. This shirt is very long, please double check measurements.
