This awesome t-shirt is from the 6th Annual Hawaii Women's 10 K Run in 1983. This run was sponsored by Nike and their iconic swoosh is on the front of the shirt. This tee was likely from the run that would become the Hawaii Pacific Health Women's 10K, Hawaii's only all-female race. Nike was founded in the mid 60s, as an athletic shoe brand, by track athlete Phil Knight and his coach Bill Bowerman. In the 80s the brand expanded to all sports, but running has always been at their foundation.
