This sweet v-neck football jersey reps the Los Angeles Chargers, although the shirt is from the 80s when the team was still the San Diego Chargers. When the Chargers debuted in 1960 they were based out of LA, but they were then moved to San Diego for the majority of their history, from 1961 until 2016, when they were moved back to LA. During the 80s the team played their home games at Balboa Stadium, and they made a handful of playoff appearances during the decade but never advanced past the AFC West Division Championships. In the late 80s, former Chargers quarterback Dan Henning took over as head coach of the team, but it wasn't until the team was under the leadership of coach Bobby Ross that the Chargers managed to make their first Super Bowl appearance.
