This awesome vintage Metallica tee celebrates the band's 1983 debut album titled Kill 'Em All. Metallica emerged on the California music scene and released several demos before they were noticed by the head of the independent record label Megaforce, Jon Zazula. The group was signed and they recorded the album, originally intending to call it Metal Up Your Ass. They also wanted the cover to depict a dagger emerging from a toilet bowl, but distributors forced them to change it, fearing that such offensive imagery would bar them from commercial success.

The album managed to sell 60,000 copies by 1984, but it didn't chart on the Billboard 200 until after the release of their highly successful third album Master of Puppets. This shirt is from 1987, a year the release of Master of Puppets and the tragic death of bassist Cliff Burton, while on tour. The future of the band was uncertain after Burton's death, but the group continued playing with their new bassist Jason Newsted, deciding that Burton would want them to carry on.

The band finished their Damage, Inc. Tour in 1987 and began recording their next album ...And Justice For All. The album, which was released a year later, featured the song "One", which became the group's debut music video. The song also earned them their first Grammy Award in 1990, and was the first song to ever be presented the award for Best Metal Performance.
