This vintage ringer t-shirt commemorates the 1981 National Scout Jamboree for the Boy Scouts of America. That year the jamboree took place at Fort A.P. Hill in Virginia for the first time, and it continued to be held there up until 2010. The theme was "Scouting's Reunion with History" and the opening ceremony featured a spectacular showing of America's heritage reenacted by 2400 scouts. 1981 was also the first jamboree to feature a computerized schedule of activities. Troops received a computer printout of available activities upon their arrival.
