This sweet double-sided tee commemorates a concert tour for the iconic boy band New Kids on the Block, which consisted of brothers Jonathan and Jordan Knight. Donnie Wahlberg, Danny Wood, and Joey McIntyre. The group released their debut album in 1986 to little success, and when it looked like their next release, a ballad titled "Please Don't Go Girl", was destined to be another flop, Columbia Records seriously considered dropping the group from their label. However the song started gaining attention after it gained air play on a Florida pop radio station. Columbia Records began focusing their efforts towards promoting the single and the group's following album Hangin' Tough, and NKOTB's popularity grew exponentially after that.

The boy band landed a spot opening for the pop star Tiffany, and were slotted to open for her on a second tour, but by the time the tour rolled around their popularity was so great that the slots were reversed and the boys were given the headlining spot. Some of their hit songs around this time included "Cover Girl", "Didn't I (Blow Your Mind This Time)", "I'll Be Loving You (Forever)", and "You Got It (The Right Stuff)". Their success continued into the late 80s and early 90s with releases like the holiday album Merry, Merry Christmas and the 1990 album Step by Step.
