This awesome road race tee was made by Nike, and it was made back before the company became the global phenomenon that it's known as today. This shirt commemorates an event that took place in 1984, which was a time in which Nike was still steadily expanding. While this tee features the famous swoosh logo, this was still several years before the company would introduce their slogan "just do it", and several more years before they'd open their first retail location. In fact, 1984 was actually a significant turning point for the company, as it was the year that they signed a deal with future NBA superstar, Michael Jordan.

The race on the tee is the 16th Annual Perimeter Relay in Oahu, Hawaii.  This annual tradition invites teams of seven to complete a distance of 134 miles, and it has runners racing counter-clockwise around the perimeter of the island.
