This awesome raglan tee promotes Olivia Newton-John and the tour for her 1981 album Physical. This was the eleventh studio album to be released by the Britist-Australian singer, but it was also one of her most memorable. The record was marked by controversy thanks to some of its sexual themes, most notably the suggestive lyrics found in the album's title song, which were then further emphasized by its music video.
"Physical" was released as a single just a few weeks ahead of the album, and it was an immediate smash hit, spending a whopping ten weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100. Newton-John had previously gained notoriety for starring in the film adaptation of the musical Grease, in which she played the sweet and unassuming, Sandy. The success of "Physical" helped the singer to shed this clean-cut image and instead reintroduced her as a sexy and assertive superstar.
Newton-John was one of the first singers to invest a lot of thought and effort into her music videos, and during a time when many videos just contained shots of the artist performing, "Physical" stood out for having a coherent plot. It also stood out thanks to its suggestive nature, as the latter half of the video showcased Newton-John dancing and flirting with a group of scantily-clad, muscular men. The video pushed the envelope even further by also including some homosexual implications involving the muscle men. The video lead to the song being banned from some radio stations, but it also became a pop culture phenomenon that's inspired many references and parodies.
The tag says medium but this shirt fits like a modern unisex adult small.
