This vintage tee features a graphic of the lovable Opus the penguin, one of the most prominent characters featured in the comic strip Bloom County. Bloom County was created by Berkeley Breathed and it began its syndication in 1980 with the help of the Washington Post Writers Group. Breathed originally intended for Opus to be a one-time gag character, but after several recurring appearances, he eventually evolved into one of the strip's central characters. Opus also later appeared in another of Breathed's strips, Outland, and then in his own eponymous strip in 2003. The penguin has also appeared in two children's books written by the cartoonist, A Wish for Wings That Work and Goodnight Opus.
Fits like a modern unisex adult large. There is some very light discoloration in the underarms, and a small spot on the shoulder, see pics.
