This vintage football sweatshirt celebrates the 77th Grey Cup which took place in 1989. The sweatshirt reps the Saskatchewan Roughriders who won the game against the Hamilton Tiger Cats with a score of 43 to 40. The Cup took place at the SkyDome in Toronto, and it was the first Grey Cup to take place there as the SkyDome had just opened earlier that year. Hamilton took an early lead in the game but the Roughriders managed to seal their victory thanks to the winning field-goal made by Dave Ridgeway. Despite this victory the Roughriders's championship run nearly bankrupted the team partly due to the cost of their three road games.
