This awesome shirt commemorates Survival Sunday 4, a concert event that was put together by the anti-nuclear group, Alliance for Survival. Though the group was later dissolved, they were one of many organizations that emerged during the 70s and 80s, to protest the use of nuclear power and weapons. Based out of Los Angeles, the Alliance for Survival teamed up with the local radio station KMET on 94.7 FM to host what they referred to as a celebration of life for a nuclear free future.
Held in June of 1981 at the Hollywood Bowl, Survival Sunday 4 featured performances by the Hollywood Rock and Roll Revue alongside several celebrity guests, including Stephen Stills, Graham Nash, Kenny Rankin, Father Guido Sarducci, Bonnie Rait, and Jackson Browne. The program also featured appearances from guests speakers like Patti Davis, Midge Costanza, and Fred Dryer.
