Texas Commerce Bank dates back to 1964 and was the product of a merger between Texas National Bank and the National Bank of Commerce. Prior to the merger they were known as Texas National Bank of Commerce Houston. It then became Chase Bank of Texas in 1998, and finally The Chase Manhattan Bank in 2000.
