This sweet double sided shirt showcases the #17 Tide Chevrolet race car that was driven by Darrell Waltrip. Waltrip began driving the car in the NASCAR Winston Cup Series in the late 80s, after he began driving for Hendrick Motorsports. His previous car had been the #11 Chevy Monte Carlo, which was backed by Budweiser, but Waltrip was concerned about being sponsored by a beer label. He was worried about encouraging heavy alcohol consumption, and was thus happy to begin racing the Tide car for the 1987 season. The back of the car also promoted Dawn dish soap, another brand that was owned by Procter & Gamble.
