This awesome tee pays tribute to the acclaimed country music star, Willie Nelson, and it features a portrait of the artist against the backdrop of his home state of Texas. Nelson began his musical career in the mid 50s, and he released his first studio album, ...And Then I Wrote in 1962. He found moderate success in the 60s, but quickly became tired of the conservative Nashville music scene. He abandoned Nashville for Austin, Texas and became a pioneer of the outlaw country subgenre.
Throughout the 70s, Nelson released notable albums like Shotgun Willie, Phases and Stages and the critical and commercial smash hit Red Headed Stranger. This shirt was made in the 80s, in which Nelson joined The Highwaymen, a country supergroup that also included Waylon Jennings, Kris Kristofferson, and Johnny Cash. In the 80s, the singer also helped establish Farm Aid, an annual benefit concert designed to support American farmers.
The tag says extra large but this shirt fits like a modern unisex adult large. There are some spots on the front and the left sleeve when wearing, see pics.
