This light blue pocket tee is a sweet souvenir from the 5th annual World Bodysurfing Championships, which were held in 1981. The World Bodysurfing Championships have been a beloved summertime tradition since the late 1970s. Held just a short ways away from the California Surf Museum, the competition takes place at Oceanside Pier, and it invites hundreds of bodysurfers from all around the globe.

Not to be confused with bodyboarding, bodysurfing is a tricky sport that requires you to be fully submerged in the water. It challenges surfers to rely on the positioning of their bodies to navigate the water, and this tee has an excellent back graphic illustrating this unique activity.
