This sweet shirt is classic 90s cool with double sided graphics advertising something called "Alien Ink". The back features a large graphic of tatted up extraterrestrials with the tagline, "The best tattoo you won't remember!" It's difficult to say if this shirt was made to advertise an actual tattoo shop, as there are several throughout the country with similar titles like Alien Ink Studios in Connecticut and Alien Ink House in Ohio. It's also entirely possible that this shirt was simply inspired by the public's increased  interest in aliens and UFOs during the 90s.

The 90s had no shortage of science fiction media concerning aliens and otherworldly visitors. Including classics like Independence Day, Contact, Men in Black, and Mars Attacks. Perhaps one of the most influential pieces of 90s scifi though, was the X-Files, which also played off the paranoia of modern Americans. The rise of home computers and invention of the internet brought up new concerns and thus new conspiracies. Whether you believed in aliens or not, the 90s was the perfect era to reignite the public's interest in what might lay beyond the stars.
