This sweet double sided shirt promotes the 1997 satirical spy comedy, Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery. Written and starring Mike Myers, the movie was inspired by British pop culture of the 1960s, which Myers used to enjoy with his father while growing up. It was also a parody of popular spy movies like James Bond, which his father had also introduced him to. A moderate hit upon its debut, Austin Powers has since become one of the most memorable comedies of the 90s. It gained a strong following after its VHS release, and went on to inspire two sequels, Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me and Austin Powers in Goldmember.

The movie's plot involves the titular hero getting cryogenically frozen in the year 1967, and awakening in the year 1997. This allowed Austin to be based on swingers of the 1960s, and the character's dialog was famously filled with plenty of 60s slang and presumptuous pickup lines. The quotes on this shirt are a perfect example as the front says, "I won't bite... hard" and the back reads, "oh behave".
