This sweet shirt promotes the 1994 thriller Blown Away, which starred Jeff Bridges and Tommy Lee Jones. Bridges played a member of a Boston bomb squad tasked with pursuing a dangerous bomb-maker and member of the Irish Republican Army, who was portrayed by Jones. The movie was produced and distributed by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, who believed that the film would put the struggling studio back on the map. While the movie saw moderate success at the box office, it sadly paled in comparison to another mad bomber movie that was released around the same time, Speed. Funnily enough Bridges was considered for the lead role in Speed, but he passed on the part to star in this film instead.
