This cool shirt celebrates the now defunct professional baseball team the Chicago American Giants, who were one of the charter members of Negro National League. This historic team managed to be one of the most dominant forces in black baseball during the early part of the 20th century. The team was managed by Baseball Hall of Famer, Andrew "Rube" Foster, who helped to found the Negro National League and also served as its first president. Foster also played pitcher for the Giants, as did his younger half-brother Bill Foster. Some other notable players to grace the team were John Henry Llyod, Turkey Stearnes, and Willie Wells.
