This vintage pocket tee promotes Culver's Sporting Goods, a shop that used to operate out of Bishop, California. The shirt has a large back graphic that makes a joke about the California water wars, a series of conflicts involving the water from Owens Valley being diverted to Los Angeles. This tee is copyright 1990, and during that time the Mono Lake Committee was fighting hard to get Los Angeles to stop diverting from the Mono Lake, and subsequently hurting the ecosystem that it supported. As Bishop sits near the northern end of Owens Valley, this humorous tee shows what some locals thought about the situation.
