This vintage hockey tee reps former professional player Mario Lemieux, and the shirt celebrates the former Pittsburgh Penguin's 500th goal scored. Lemieux achieved this landmark goal during a game on October 26, 1995 against the New York Islanders. He was the 20th NHL player to achieve this honor, but he did it at the second fastest rate of any other player. Lemieux's speedy accumulation of goals was only beaten by legendary hockey player Wayne Gretzky. With a total of 69 goals and 92 assists, Lemieux led the league in scoring for the 1995-1996 season. This meant he had earned his fifth Art Ross Trophy, and he also ended the season by winning his third Hart Trophy.
