This sweet vintage band tee is for the Ohio based punk band the New Bomb Turks, who were formed in 1990 at Ohio State University. This shirt features a logo similar to the famous lipstick logo used by the pioneering 70s punk rock band, the New York Dolls, and the back references the New Bomb Turks' 1998 album At Rope's End. The record was released off Epitaph Records, which was founded by Bad Religion guitarist Brett Gurewitz, placing the New Bomb Turks among the company of other notable 90s punk groups on the label such as NOFX, Rancid, and The Offspring.
Over the years, The New Bomb Turks released a wide variety of albums, EPs, and a slew of singles, some of which contain songs not featured on any other recordings. Their early releases were with the independent label Crypt Records, before they were signed to Epitaph, and after that they moved to Gearhead Records, which was an offshoot of Gearhead magazine. The band's name was inspired by the main character of the 1980 teen comedy The Hollywood Knights.
