This sweet shirt pays tribute to the alternative rock band The Presidents of the United States of America. Originally formed in Seattle in the early 90s, the band became best known for their hits, "Lump" and "Peaches", which were both featured on their eponymous debut album. Aided by the grunge and alternative trend of the 90s, the band also gained popularity with their singles, "Kitty" and "Dune Buggy".

PUSA broke up in 1998, as bassist and vocalist Chris Ballew wanted to explore other opportunities, but they still released a parting compilation album that same year, which was titled Pure Frosting. The album featured multiple songs that were used for film and television, including covers of "Video Killed the Radio Star" and "Cleveland Rocks", that were used for The Wedding Singer and The Drew Carey Show respectively.
